When you pay in a currency different from your local currency, the refund will be converted based on the prevailing exchange rate, as determined by the bank, on the date the refund was made.
Because currency conversion rates fluctuate, the rate at the time of payment is often different from the rate at the time of refund. As a result, the converted amount that you paid usually doesn't equal the converted amount that you will receive in refund. You may also be subject to international transaction fees imposed by your credit card.
Pelago will not be able to provide a refund for any differences post conversion. As multiple currencies are supported on Pelago, we would strongly recommend that you make the purchase in your local currency to avoid currency conversion risks.
Please reach out to your credit card issuer to verify the conversion rates and additional fees if any.
